Hilda Baci hits 84-hour mark, less than 3-hours to break Guinness World Records

Hilda Baci, a Nigerian chef and entrepreneur, is currently striving to break the Guinness World Recordsfor the “longest cooking marathon by an individual”.

She has now completed more than 84 hours, leaving her with less than 3 hours to set a new record.

On Thursday at 4 o’clock, Baci turned on her cooker to kick off the tournament. Her objective is to beat the existing Guinness World Record of 87 hours and 45 minutes held by Indian cook Lata Tondon, who achieved the feat in 2019.

From Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, the event is being live-streamed on YouTube, and a number of celebrities are there to support it.

To the delight of many in attendance, Baci hit the three-day milestone on Sunday. Celebrities are swarming to the physical location where the Cookathon is being held to support the chef, garnering a lot of attention both offline and online.
