The Junior doctors at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi have threatened to head on a strike if their salaries are not paid by the end of march.
According to them, they have not received salaries for the past six (6) months.
In a report by Joy FM, the doctors said delay in their salaries usually takes two months but this year has taken a different turn as it has extended to 6 months.
However, Director of Communications at the hospital, Kwame Frimpong says management of the hospital has given a salary advance package for all affected doctors.
“Management based on past experience realized the processing of salaries could delay and therefore gave them the option for salary advance for all those who are in need.”
