The number of Coronavirus cases in Ghana has increased from 2,719 to 3091 after 372 new infections were announced Thursday dawn.
The Greater Accra region remains Ghana’s epicenter with 2,579 infections.
Ashanti is next with 165, followed by Eastern which has 95 cases.
Western North has 56; Central has 50; Western, 32; Volta, 30; Upper East, 26; Oti, 23; Upper West, 19; Northern, 13; North East, 2; and Bono, 1.
Savannah, Ahafo and Bono East are the only regions among the 16 with no infections.
The Ghana Health Service also reported that the total number of recoveries has risen to 303 while the death toll is still 18.
The Information Ministry holds a press briefing at its Press Centre, Accra, to provide update on case count and case management; Ghana’s positivity data; the GHC600m soft loans program; and economic recovery measures being analyzed by Cabinet.
