Music is a force for good and on Sunday 17th May, the Ghana Music Awards Foundation will use music to rally a national applause for our Covid-19 HEROES; the frontline health workers. The program is also meant to inspire hope and to lend a voice to the ‘Wear A Mask’ and Anti- stigmatization Campaigns.
The VGMA Covid-19 Heroes Concert, is slated for Sunday 17th May, 2020 live on TV3, and on social media from 9:30pm to 11pm.
Organizers of Central Media Awards, have officially released the list of qualified nominees for the 4th edition of the prestigious award scheme in the Central Region.
The annual event, organized by Ezone Networks, seeks to reveal, acknowledge and reward excellence in media. Voting codes are out for the public to vote for their favorite nominees. Voting ends on 27th January and the main event is on 4th February. The venue for the awards ceremony will be announced later.
Obaatanpa Radio 92.5mhz was able to sweep 13 out of to their credit. Below are the categories and nominees nominated from Obaatanpa Radio. The voting code to vote for each nominee is attached, therefore one may follow the required steps to vote for their favorite nominee.
1. Media Personality Of The Year:
Maxwell Sablah, popularly called De-Minizta, is an award-winning Ghanaian broadcast journalist, rapper, and a public speaker. He is currently the Obaatanpa Sports Local Tit-Bit Host. He is in the position of assistant operations manager at Obaatanpa Radio. He was nominated in the media personality of the year category due to his tremendous work done in the media space under the year of review.

2. Drive Time Show Host Of The Year
James Ababio, also known as Mista Chanti, is a multiple award-winning radio broadcaster/ journalist.
Mista Chanti was the formal manager at Marrk radio and he later moved to the current radio station he work with, in 2021 and became radio drive time host for Obaatanpa radio 92.5 in Kasoa.
He has contributed so much to the media space by entertaining and educating his listener and due to that, he was nominated in the drive time host of the year category.

3. Sports Presenter Of The Year
Micheal Kwetey, known better as Mickey De-Double Mouse is a Ghanaian sports journalist and winner of the Central Media Awards two consecutive times, in 2019 and 2020 for his work in sports journalism. Nigerian based Ghanaian actor, Enock Darko, popularly Known as Watabomshell, has threatened to quit acting.
The fast rising nollywood actor took to social media to announce his exit in the movie industry.
According to the post which was intercepted by Goonlinegh.com, Watabomshell had said that he would confess something terrible he did on his birthday that is hunting him.
