Taxi Driver Shot Dead At Pusi Near Bonsu Nkwanta By Armed Robbers

Taxi driver by name Mr kwaku Essel was shot dead by armed robbers at Pusi near Bonsu Nkwanta in the Juaboso district in the Western North Region

Mr Kwaku Essel is a taxi driver and Cocoa purchasing cleck at Pusi but lives in Dadieso but was coming to Pusi, on his way to Pusi, unknown armed robbers met him and shot him on his jaw.

According to one woman who happens to be one of the victims attacked by the armed robbers, a  gun was pointed at her and a motor rider too.

When we got there, we were the first people who suddenly saw them. As soon as they saw as, they pulled out guns and ponited them at us, they asked me for money and i told them i’m on my way to check up on my child at the hospital so i don’t have anything me, but my husband’s brother had two phones in his pocket, they took it and his Ghs30. Afterwards they instructed us to go and lie down in a bush and another thug boy came to ask for money i said my husband is on his way coming same so when he comes.

they then told us to go.

Some eyewitnesses also reported that they got to the scene around 7:10 Pm in the evening and the police officer at the crime scene allowed them to the bush where the taxi was parked to check if the deceased is from our community, unfortunately for us, it was Mr Kwaku Essel.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

According to an investigation done by Goonlingh.com, Mr Kwaku Essel was shot in his jaw and the bullet passed through the other side of his neck but he didn’t die immediately.

He was sent to the hospital but lost his life as doctors were trying their best to save his life.

The residents have appealed to the IGP to help them with a police post or better still a patrol team in the community, that will at least help minimize such criminal acts in Pusi.
