Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo, Ebenezer Okletey Teye Larbi has questioned the silence of the media over Ghana’s current illegal mining “Galamsey” menace in an interview on Kingdom FM.
In respect to that, he deems the President, Nana Addo unfit for his position as he has failed to control the depletion of our lands from Galamsey activities; hence, has urged him to resign.
“I think the best thing for Akufo – Addo is to step down as the president of the country, hence he has failed Ghanaians in the area of ending Ilegal mining (Galamsey) which has destroyed all our lands and properties.”
‘’I don’t know why the media is silent about these, go and see what is happening on our lands, our water bodies and farm are being destroyed by our own people and Chinese people. ‘’For how long are we going to sit for people to destroy what we have’’ he added.
